SUMMARY:Ramadan Iftar Dinner Brings Communities Together in Faith and Solidarity
DESCRIPTION:Ramadan Iftar Dinner Brings Communities Together in Faith and Solidarity \nOn March 9\, 2025\, the Atlantic Institute Central Florida and St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church hosted a remarkable Ramadan Iftar Dinner in Winter Park\, uniting 120 attendees from Christian and Muslim communities in a shared celebration of faith and friendship. \nWith this year’s overlap of Ramadan and Lent\, the evening offered a unique opportunity for interfaith dialogue and understanding. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal\, heartfelt speeches\, and moments of reflection that highlighted shared values of compassion and connection. \nMeghan Collins\, coordinator of the Peace and Justice Ministry\, expressed the event’s significance\, calling it “an opportunity to develop a sense of friendship and solidarity.” Mustafa Yucekaya\, executive director of the Atlantic Institute Central Florida\, echoed this sentiment\, emphasizing the joy and deeper awareness that arise from sharing a meal during these sacred seasons. \nThe event underscored the mission of both hosts to promote peace\, respect\, and harmony across diverse communities. By fostering dialogue and mutual appreciation\, the Iftar Dinner left attendees inspired and hopeful for continued collaboration and unity.

SUMMARY:Interfaith Service in Action: Atlantic Institute & Jacksonville Daughters of Abraham Join Forces for Senior Food Distribution
DESCRIPTION:Atlantic Institute Volunteers Partner with Jacksonville Daughters of Abraham & @onejaxjax for Interfaith Food Distribution to Seniors \nOn Thursday\, July 17\, 2025\, volunteers from the Atlantic Institute joined forces with the Jacksonville Daughters of Abraham and other community members for a powerful interfaith initiative hosted by @onejaxjax. This collaborative effort aimed to support the United Community Outreach Ministry (UCOM) in distributing food to seniors residing at Mt. Carmel Gardens. \nFrom unloading pallets to setting up tables\, distributing food\, and packing up\, every task was carried out with a sense of unity\, teamwork\, and compassion. Volunteers of different faiths and backgrounds came together to serve their community\, making a positive impact on the lives of local seniors. \nThese acts of kindness not only provide immediate support to those in need but also serve to build lasting bridges between different faith communities. By working together\, we strengthen our shared commitment to service\, solidarity\, and community building. \nA special thank you to @onejaxjax and UCOM for providing the opportunity to come together and serve. We look forward to continuing our efforts to foster connection and understanding in Jacksonville!
